JOINING THE UNIT
How to join IPS‑Keystone, an Australia-based Arma Reforger milsim unit. No experience needed.
We run one main operation a week, every Saturday at 19:00 AEST, 21:00 NZST; early evening on the east coast, and late afternoon in Perth. Operations are planned in advance, briefed properly, and run as a single combined‑arms platoon rather than as a free‑for‑all. Around that, side operations, training nights and community games fill the week.

Join the server and say hello. Someone picks it up within day or so. A conversation, to answer your questions, if you have any.

About an hour or two, run by our own trainers. Comms, movement, medical and the basics of how we play..
Your First Operation
Partake in your first operation as an infantry role of your choice.
COMMON QUESTIONS
Do I need experience with Arma to join?
No. Some of the unit had never opened an Arma game before joining. Everyone starts with Basic Contractor Training, which covers radio use, movement in a fire team, and basic medical. It runs roughly one to two hours and is the only thing required before your first operation.
What do I need to own?
Arma Reforger on PC, a microphone, teamspeak 3, and a Discord account.
How long is an operation?
Form-up is from 18:30 AEST with step-off at 19:00, and most operations run two to three hours including the briefing and the debrief afterwards. We love if you are able to make it to the whole thing, but we understand life comes first.
Do I have to attend every week?
No. Missing weeks is fine what we ask is that the site says so. Mark yourself not attending on the operation, or put in an LOA if you are going to be away for a stretch.
What roles can I play?
The platoon fields three assault sections, a rotary wing flight, a mortar line, a direct-fire support group and a headquarters element. After Basic Contractor Training you can take role courses in rotary wing, combat medicine, mortars, signals, and team or section command.
Is there an age requirement?
You must be 16 or over.
Can I join from outside Australia and New Zealand?
Yes, and we have members who do, but our operation time is built around the Australian and New Zealand evening. We welcome anyone who can make our op times, wherever they may be from.
What is milsim, exactly?
Military simulation: a structured style of play where a group operates as one organised force with a chain of command, planned objectives, radio discipline and defined roles, rather than as individuals in a public server. It is less about realism for its own sake and more about the fact that a platoon doing one coordinated thing is more interesting than thirty people doing thirty things.
